El perfume Varanasi de Meo Fusciuni es una fragancia oriental unisex con muchísima personalidad: rica, opulenta, cálida y polarizante. Nace del viaje del perfumista a la India en 2017 y de la emoción de sostener entre las manos el agua sagrada del Ganges. Forma parte de las colecciones Dark Self-Portraits y Travel Memories de la casa.
Meo Fusciuni lo describe como un mandala olfativo. El ritual empieza con las notas especiadas del azafrán, la nuez moscada y el cardamomo. Después llega un corazón floral de rosas y jazmín, sobre un cuerpo empolvado y amaderado de ambreta y cipriol, con el ámbar gris como fondo acuático y animal. Meo Fusciuni lo define como un lugar sagrado y profano del olfato, rico en contrastes y significados.
Como un sadhu cubierto de ceniza blanca, la fragancia se vuelve sagrada con el nardo, el incienso y el gurjum. En el fondo, el oud, el vetiver y un acorde de cuero envuelven el cuerpo. A diferencia de los orientales dulces y suaves, este es más resinoso y animal: un perfume que se ama para siempre o no se puede llevar.
Ideal para quienes buscan un perfume nicho intenso y narrativo, con espíritu y carácter. Encaja en noches, en ocasiones especiales o cuando quieres un aroma que no pase desapercibido.
