Bois d'Ascèse is sacred smoke with an unexpected twist. It begins as a reverence to classic incense - dry, mineral, almost mystical - but soon whisky, tobacco and cinnamon appear, bringing warmth and a certain decadence.
As if this initial monastery concealed a secret cellar. The perfume evolves between burnt cade wood, earthy moss and a resinous amber that rounds out its depth. The fragrance is austere, yet intense; spiritual, yet earthy.
It has something of lagavulin, medicinal smoke and ancient ritual. A composition with character, perfect for those who are looking for an introspective, powerful and uncompromising scent.
