Paris in the early 1960s. The Saint-Germain district lived to the rhythm of nightly jazz club sessions and artistic gatherings. People discussed the world, danced and laughed in an atmosphere as vibrant as it was elegant...
The Orphéon was one of the bars, full of lively effervescence, where the three founders of the nearby Diptyque boutique liked to meet. Today, paying homage to this era and creative friendships, the bar is immortalised in the olfactory portrait that bears its name: Orphéon. It freezes the picture: curls of tobacco smoke mingle with powdery trails of rouge, lingering on the burnished wood. At the heart of the composition is the atmosphere of this unforgettable place, recognisable through the warmth of tonka bean, the depth of cedar and the vivacity of juniper berries.
