The Queen and the Viper is an intense, symbolic and deeply narrative fragrance that delves into the territory where power, seduction and destiny intertwine. Launched in 2025, this Extrait de Parfum signed by Stéphane Humbert Lucas and Karine Chevallier is a work of artistic perfumery that explores the duality of light and poison, freshness and resin, dominance and surrender.
Inspired by the figure of Cleopatra and her last act of sovereignty, the perfume is constructed as a mythological olfactory tale. From the first spraying, the fragrance surprises with a luminous and menthol opening, where the bergamot, the citrus and the peppermint create a cold, sharp contrast. The blackcurrant budsbring a fruity and elegant brightness, while the davana, the incense and the styrax envelop the scene in a ritual, almost sacred aura.
In the heart, the composition is transformed. The African mint displays a greener, deeper freshness, less obvious and more magnetic. The jasmine sambac and the osmanthus bring a nuanced floral sensuality, while the sage sclarea introduces an aromatic and spiritual character. The vetiver anchors the whole with an earthy root that balances the tension between freshness and warmth.
