The true scent of the Gothic style—which began with the laying of the foundation stone of the Basilica of Saint-Denis on the outskirts of Paris in 1144. Opus 1144 is an olfactory tribute to the origins of Gothic architecture, a dark and ceremonial fragrance created by Filippo Sorcinelli, a perfumer and artistic director known for his creations linked to liturgy and sacred art.
The composition unfolds in dense layers of incense, resins, and smoky woods, interwoven with spicy notes reminiscent of the cold stone of medieval cathedrals. A mineral and musky base lends it an almost liturgical depth, while its intense sillage makes it a unisex fragrance with real character.
