El perfume Northern Love de Frédéric Malle, en su formato de 50 ml, es una fragancia ámbar y amaderada, cálida e íntima, firmada por el maestro perfumista Bruno Jovanovic. Su eje es un sándalo de una cremosidad extraordinaria, con canela como guiño a las galletas speculoos. El perfume nace del deseo de encontrar, a través de los propios ingredientes, una forma de abrazar a quien lo lleva.
Se abre con un acorde especiado que aporta calidez y ese matiz de galleta, sin volverse empalagoso. En el corazón, el sándalo se muestra rico y envolvente: una madera cremosa, casi mantecosa, que Jovanovic amplifica hasta hacerla suave y aterciopelada. Malle habla de una composición que oscila entre la opulencia y el refinamiento, entre el clasicismo y la modernidad.
Después, la vainilla redondea la composición y deja una estela íntima y reconfortante. Malle lo describe como una carta de amor al romanticismo moderno: un abrazo cálido con un fondo de nostalgia, como un abrazo agridulce. A diferencia de un ámbar dulce y pesado, aquí manda la madera cremosa.
