Imperial Tea is a fresh and modern homage to Jasmine Tea, infused, served and tasted according to the noblest Chinese traditions. For Kilian Hennessy, travelling always brings surprises, new encounters and new loves. This time, the sea breeze took him to a new land where the rich tea culture has endured for centuries. He witnessed the making of Jasmine Tea, with white flowers hand-picked and placed over fermenting tea to infuse its oils. Watched the Jasmine Tea ceremony with floating flowers and tasted it in a moment of timeless elegance, wishing it would never end. One sip, and all the senses expand into jasmine flowers out of space and time.
This pure, linear fragrance is centred on a Green Tea accord infused with Jasmine Sambac. A revitalising opening of Bergamot and Laminaria Seaweed, a rare ingredient in perfumery that offers a mineral and aerial balance, captures the mist of the ocean air, while the fragrance lingers with rooted notes of Vetiver and Musk.
