Molecule 01 + Cistus by Escentric Molecules is part of the Molecule + collection, a series that explores perfumery in its most minimalist form. The idea is simple but radical: take the Iso E Super molecule - the iconic base of Molecule 01 - and add a single natural ingredient capable of transforming its character. In this case, the chosen raw material is cistus.
Iso E Super is an aromatic molecule famous for its soft and enveloping aura. Its scent is reminiscent of an abstract cedarwood, warm and velvety, with an almost tactile texture on the skin. More than a conventional perfume, it creates a kind of olfactory halo that blends naturally with the skin.
Cistus, on the other hand, adds character and depth. It is obtained from the resin of the Mediterranean shrub Cistus ladanifer, a wild plant known for its warm, resinous and slightly smoky aroma. Its profile is reminiscent of labdanum, but with a more luminous nuance: golden amber with a mineral touch, hints of leather and a warm sensuality that seems to radiate from the skin.
